A night with Carolina Tech Founders

Last night we were at the inaugural Carolina Tech Founders event, and it was exactly the kind of evening that makes you glad you build where you build.

Marc Pitre, our co-founder, was there representing Net Net alongside a room full of people who are building real companies here in the Carolinas. The night featured a speaking session with Russ Sorrells of Beyond the Grind, whose take on the founder’s grind landed with everyone who has ever run a small company on too little sleep and too much conviction.

Mostly, though, we want to say thank you. Carolina Tech Founders exists because three people decided the region deserved a real place for founders to connect, and they built it. Thank you to John Blomberg of Winthrop University, Ken Reiter of GrowthVector, and Marcus Hermens of Marketing Mason. What you three are doing to connect, inspire, and help fund founders across this area is the good stuff, and it matters.

Net Net is headquartered right here in the beautiful South Carolina upstate, so this one is personal for us. A community that helps its founders find each other is a community that builds better companies. We are grateful to be part of it, and we will be back.
