Net Net V2: Rebuilt From the Ground Up

Net Net today announced the launch of Net Net V2, a completely rebuilt workflow management system for small creative and technical services firms. When Net Net first launched in 2024, it set out to help agencies estimate work by effort and keep Jobs from drifting off plan. Owners embraced the idea. They also told us, clearly and repeatedly, where the first version got in their way.

They did not want another app to babysit. They wanted the whole path of a Job connected, not just the estimate. They wanted less administrative work. They needed contractors in the same picture as employees. And they wanted to catch a missed handoff or strained estimate before it turned into a Friday afternoon client conversation nobody wanted.

That called for more than a cleanup. We rebuilt.

Our customers did not want a busier tool. They wanted to see their work clearly and catch trouble while they could still fix it. So we tore Net Net down to the studs and rebuilt it.”

Rebuilt, not redesigned

Net Net V2 is not a fresh coat of paint on the old product. It has a new foundation.

It connects the full life of a Job in one place: planning it, delivering it, and tracking the effort it takes. Jobs carry Deliverables, planned effort by Service Type, Tasks, Change Orders, Quick Tasks, and the actual effort logged against them. The estimate and the delivery reality finally sit close enough together to be useful. Performance views give owners a current picture without another spreadsheet or a status meeting assembled by hand.

Built around the full life of a Job

V2 starts with the way small firms actually work. A quote becomes a plan. The plan becomes Deliverables and Tasks. Employees, contractors, approvals, changes, and logged effort stay connected as the Job moves. When something starts to drift, the team can see which part moved instead of treating the whole project like a mysterious red blob.

The point is not to give owners more software to manage. It is to make the work legible: what was promised, what is underway, what it is taking, and where a decision is needed.
